Won't affect me greatly, as I rufuse to go there, but this might be a bit upsetting if you have to pay £100 (or £200 if you have an old lorry) per day for owning an old diesel in london. Discuss...

It will do one of two things, it will either work in the sense that it will make london greener (but at the expense of small businesses and working class individuals). Or it will completely cripple london's economy and push development out onto greenfield sites outside the M25

What about veggie-surfs? And London's own bus fleet, wouldn't those large diesel engines would fail the requirements? Just checked my truck and my 2nd gen is not affected to extra charge

You would have to have your truck converted to VOSA standards, have it tested and certificated too.
Dunno about buses- never touch the stuff

I checked my truck(k reg 2.4) and it'll cost me 100 quid a day, how come you get away with it?

I just read a little more, there's no mention anywhere of it affecting private cars no matter the size of engine or fuel, the smallest vehicle it seems to affect is 'Large diesel engined vans exceeding 1.205 tonnes unladen weight'

Obviously we meet the weight criteria, and most of us are diesel engined, Are we classed as vans though??
