  • Day trip to Wales

Just got home. Climbed over the fence into the (now closed down) airfield I used to work at. Worked there 11 years so it was quite emotional to walk round some of the buildings. From being a bustling, exciting, noisy place to work, its now completely abandoned and silent. Sad.

I'll post some photos when I've had some food, but here's sunset over Cardigan Bay for now.

        Its a long story mate!

Wanted to get out there early, got up late, so only got there about 2ish! The plan was to get into Llanbedr and get some photos - safest bet seemed to be along the footpath past the end ofthe runway and round the back by 29 - fairly long walk. By the time I got off there the sun was going down and I was starving and getting a headache.

Did think about bringing a sleeping bag but forgot that too...

Bad hair day! Anyway, I'm sure you must owe us a visit by now!

The deserted approach to the main runway

My old workshop - 'Building 29', boarded up and silent. Once a place of work, but mainly 'foreigners'
