Hi, one of these is on my 'to buy this summer' list. Has anyone got/used one and are they worth the money?

One has to spoil one's self sometimes

I'm just hoping for a good summer to justify it.

no it dosn't need to be plumbed in to the mains unless you plan on spending about 20k you need to check the chemicals every day and change the water every 10 weeks depending on use

depends on how often you use it, about £100 for chemicals which should last you a year. No dont needs mains water, but it does require mains electric. Depending on the requirements of the heaters, pumps, lights, etc. it can be a prety heavy duty circuit. Depending on the location of the tub you may need to wire it in SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) Cable. It will require RCD protection.
The electrical installation itself can be costly. I'm a sparks so no problem from that end for me.
If you do get one I can advise, but will need to be certified by local sparks.
