Evening all
Off to wales in a few hours time. I've only had my surf a short time and have driven it very gently to save on fuel but haven't had chance to work out the mpg yet.
On the motorway I usually hold it at 55-65. Over the next week I'll be doing about 1000miles so need to keep the economy sensible.
Does it make a lot of difference driving very gently? only I seem to see figures of 22-28mpg banded around but those quoted figures don't seem to drop much when towing or driving faster.
If it speed doesn't make much difference to economy then I may as well drive faster and obviously get there a bit quicker.
In a normal car it makes quite a difference but does speed effect a surf as much?
Any idea appreciated.
Incidentally, its had a lift and has big mud tyres fitted.
Cheers
Chris
