New Engine

Apparently the engine recon was due to an oil problem. Still has original head.
He has the garage receipts though.

He has a low reserve but the idiots are starting to push the price up.

I am tempted to buy it now, I rather like the look of it.

John, If I was you, I would definately buy a 3 litre. I used to have a 2.4 and sold it for a 3 ltr. There was nothing wrong with the 2.4 but I am so glad I swapped. I am not very mechanically minded but my 3 ltr has never let me down and it has a very hard life. Be better buying from a Forum member. Take it easy and don't get drawn into making rash decisions, the right vehicle for you is out there somewhere.

I've never owned a 2.4 but the 3.0 is a solid engine and easy to work on if needed, would be worth waiting for the right one to come long, don't worry about trim levels of fancy spots and wheels, bullbars etc, just find one that has been looked after, oil changes done regularly etc. will last you years.
