I guess if it does the job...

However, they have a bl00dy cheek to send that out as finished, and a bigger cheek to ask you to pay for it. I'm afraid I'd be taking that back and asking the boss to bend over whilst I worked out whether his rear end could take the entire thing!

Rod, the curved bits are cos they measured for the prototype wrong, basically, and couldn't be a$$ed to get it right.

Take it back mate! I'll come with you with a baseball bat and a big mate!

Ahh, Thats even worse then if they just did it because they felt it looked ok!

They have thrown away an opertunity to make some good money making those.

I feel like an a$$hole for bitchin' bout your truck Nero, but i dont think they can get away with that.

Sorry, should have mentioned - This is the prototype, i haven't parted with any cash for it, just lent them a template vehicle for 2 weeks. However I was told way back when that the only difference would be that some of the welds might show more and just wouldn't be quite as tidy as a production bumper, I was told originally it might be hand painted but you'd only notice up close. However since been told one of the delays has been because of problems with their powdercoaters. It is powdercoated, or at least - in the words of a nameless local guy in the metalwork/fabrication business "it's seen a powdercoaters".

Have also been told twice in the last 4 weeks by the manufacturers i'm getting a £350 bumper for nothing.

if it comes for free, and does what you need it to do then fine. but thats the sort of finish that is ok for the DIYer, not a company who 'specialises' in 4x4 kit. as long as your happy with it is all that counts anyway dude!
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

Well for now i'll keep my opinions to myself, be interesting to see what everyone thinks.

I'll leave it as it is until the end of the week, before it comes back off to have some remedial work done and a coat of red oxide and hammerite.

Its OK, just needs a paint. As long as its bolted to the chassis stoutly, if I really had to moan the end caps are a little odd. But thats about it.

Well i aint no welder and it looks like i made it, it would seem 4x4 winch bumpers are not them, perhaps it could be "tidy'd" up with a grinder??
