  • Im steaming!!

As in, Up - in the truck! Not a chav way of saying im "pirate stormed"

So, Every now an then my truck just steams up randomly, a quick blast of the A/C clears it.

As soon as the AC is off i get a few minutes before its back to normal.

My mate said it seemed damp in the truck - quite a cold humid kind of feeling an i agree.

Its a total pain in the butt. Any suggestions?!

Leaky heater would do that... or going swimming a few too many times!

If it was a leaky heater would it be expensive/hard to replace?

Both, sorry to say, it's a right pain to get to the heater matrix, you can tell if it's the heater matrix leaking by looking for water / muck in the foot well outlets, plus you will smell anti freeze inside the car.

There isnt any kind of noticable leak anywhere. both foot wells are dry.

Sometimes on occasion putting the A/C on can produce a strange smell...

I very much doubt it's the heater matrix, you would smell the antifreeze inside the car.

The matrrix is behind 3/4 of the dash board, it's not a nice job to carry out IMO
