troublesome surf

hi just wondering if any one can help i have a hilux surf with a couple of little problems one is when your driving down the road and starts acting like its running out of fuel and has a leak but been into a garage who fixed the leak but it still not running right also it seems to stick in higher gear when stopping and starting oil levels fine in gear box but overdrive light flashinhg anyone got any ideas cheers

If the OD light is flashing there is a fault. It does not have to be major. A search on finding fault codes should steer you in the right direction. Just a thought you say the fluid levels are OK is the actual G/box fluid in good condition ie. not muddy brown in colour could need a good flushing and change.

A Flashing O/D light represents a fault with the transmission...
