Yes mate, I'm undecided whether to go for a demountable winch but the tube posted is quite cheap and will make a plain box section rear bumper much more useful for towing, recovery point etc.
From this guy, called Tim. We did the deal off ebay as 18" tube was mega bucks posted. 2 nr 12" tubes was $78 including insurance which I think is a bargain.
You can't go to Halfords and measure them up, so it saves me a lot of work just to have that welded into box section and know its the right size, gauge etc. Worth £17.50 to me.
I forgot it was for 2.
I would agree thats not that bad a price then.
you should have get one of the tow hitch locks while your at it.
It goes though the horizontal hole and has a fancy lock on one end.
My mate has a couple they are fairly easy to use.
You can also now get some great tow hitch attachements like
toilet seats
bbq's
showers
and some good novelty things
like a skull with glowing red eyes when you break!!!!
Specialist Leisure/TBR etc do the drop balls, Warn recovery shackles for the tow hitch, but they only sell expensive hitch bumpers that are no good for underslung 33's and don't do just the tube.
I've got a trip to Canada coming up so will be scouring the auto shops for ideas
