i see some ppl dont have there rear bumper on, would it fail an mot if its not on?

It shouldn't do technically, as long as you have all the brackets removed and nothing sharp sticking out. But sometimes MOT guys can be overly fussy if they don't like the truck, especially as the shape of the rear of the Surf body blatently shows there should be one.

If you do take it off, think about some mudflaps to prove you've making an effort to think of other road users, and remember Plod have different rules to MOTs, and you may get grief off them.
