BODMAS makes it 6, to make it 8 you'd need to put the brackets (2+2)x2=??

ok, work this one out then people...

if the sound of yellow remains constant through the path of the Bolliton Belt (sector 5, not to be confused with the sub-quandrant sectors in the minor system) and merges with a Senimet 6 at an angle of 12 degrees - what is the resulting burnoff in time factors as defined by the purple dot i can see in my right eye?
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

But I believe you'll find that, as written, the answer is indeed 8. The parantheses placement are open to interpretation, unless they are implicitly specified. If none are specified, it is quite valid to work on the first and shift right, so to speak.

Without you telling us the weight to mass ratio, that's a trick question.

what's wrong with you dude??? i was just playing! everyone knows the Bolliton Belt is in sector 17 - not 5!!! and you're asking about weight to mass ratios???

Just the first match from Google posted as an example, but one will note that in certain areas of training, the BODMAS technique? isn't the defacto:

                            http://www.angelfire.com/pa/baconbacon/page2.html

Assumptions are open to interpretation, therefore not specifying the order isn't a valid method other than in general math.

And no, I ain't going to try remembering all the equation theory just to prove this point.

if you're too lazy to do what's needed to prove your point, then...erm...i don't know, i can't be @rsed to finish what i was going to say...
