[rant]i am - 23rd of june, still nothing on the 17th of November and now they're ignoring my emails. Ok so mines a freebie but i'd have rather paid one of the metalwork gurus on here to do it if i'd known they were gonna treat me like this. [/rant]

ian yours was laying on the floor and when asked them about it they said they was using it as a template it had original surf indicators in it ,
to be honest i could not with my hand on heart recommend them
ps they never even gave me a point to put my winch hook to , had to use lash hook [they said they dont like to fit anything beyond bumper ] lol winch rollers [just more flannel

Id be interested to know how many other forum members are still thinking about getting one... If its none - well nero may aswell have his bumper now!!
Its a shame they messed yours up Joker.
GWH - Mate, you should make some up! The poomobile would look sh!t hot ('cuse the pun) with a Winch bumper!!
I want an ARB/TJM type winch bumper too, but again, it's too many £££'s for me this year, and next year too probably, so a bespoke one may be the way to go, Who has access to metal working gear? I can access an arc welder, which will be fine for tacking together bits for checking the fit, and got grinders and stuff.
But if you were paying for all the materials i'd guess £60-£80 which aint bad. Just takes time to do the measuring and cutting. But there is some satisfaction that you've done it.

And of course, you could make up templates as you go, so as to be able to reproduce all the cut components again whenever you need to, I have a sheet metal workshop about 200 yards from home, so materials won't be a prob,
BTW Nice job Smiffy, any idea what it wieghs in comparison to the original?

its looking quite like a fabrication firm neext door to my tyre place, can fabricate a mount as well.they are getting a quote together for said mount, which would require just the bumper cutting.if its not to much money may go for that option, but if they could look at smiffys plans perhaps ..........
and group discount !!!!
(they reckon the mount would be in the region of 75 quid or so)

Not got a clue mate The only template i used was the curve for either side of the winch box. The rest was just measure and offer to vehicle to check.
Almost there. Just another coat of paint and a guard plate to cover the rad riveted onto the box section. Ended up going ARB style since the box looked lethal and tube wouldn't have reall taken the sharp edges away. Managed to use old bumper to get the curve under headlights and think it worked out ok.
Had to use bigger indicators, since the led ones were not producing enough power.
Oh Chillit,if you read this your PM is full!!
Awesome job mate!
Wish I could weld... and do stuff like that. Wouldn't know where to start...
