its strange that this sort of discusion also goe's on on the soarer site i belong to, the younger members tend to go for brushed alloy or carbon fibre finishes ,which will be out of fasion within a few years , but the older members still tend to go for the wood effect finish, and why? look at most prestige motors and aspiring prestige models they will all have wood somewhere in the cabin,some have brushed alloy but it is just a fashion trend to take your eye away from the bland plastic colour/finish, the same can be said about wood but wood has been in cars since they were first built and just gives that little bit of extra class.

My shed is wood panelled.
Bet you'll get one of those wood rimmed steering wheels too
Why not get some cushions in the back, and maybe some net curtains on the side windows.

actually though........................ .........................
remember about 10 years ago ,there was a programme on about a cheap wooden car made for use in south america.it was based on the 2cv,but its articulation and offroad ability were absolutely astonishing.all the car was wooden,chassis,body work.it had a mesh for a front screen,and i do believe the seats were considered a luxury !!Non intercooled nothing.
