    which it was?

just putting posh fuel in didn't do much at all.
but it had been remapped from its stock 170 bhp to 250(ish)
any cheap poo like a tesco petrol, and it pinked like a bu55er.
re diesel ,the vmax and bp ultimate stuff has loads of detergent and cetane improvers(which is why it smells like redex i spose)

and does ny one still use 4 star.
had a caterham last year, and it had a quite(very old) ford crossflow head.the valve seats were quite soft so depended on the high lead content, but when i tried unleade with an additive,it nearly went bang!!

my engine was a cross flow. my fwd was doing 14 seconds 1/4
what cross flow was it? you say vry old... those engines are all UNF type thread (shows how old lol) my head was ported with bigger valves etc, so never needed a lead additive
how did it nearly go bang? lol my power band was off the rev counter.. cant wait til i earn some propper money, get a garage and do that again

In eight years I have never seen my fuel light on in my Hi-lux, not sure if it works or that I have never been that empty?

anything to do with it not being offroad but "off the road"

Yes I still have not fixed it yet

It is on the road though, it's my daily drive, I have to keep topping up the rear diff at the moment.

That was 350 miles from totally full on PB ultimate when it.. errr ran out...

Fuel light started coming on and I did about 40 miles before it conked out, My other Toyotas have given me at least 50 miles before I decided it was too empty, and the surf stopped on the way to the petrol station less then 1/2m away

I probably would have god more then 350 but I put my foot down on the way back from Santa Pod this weekend, 100+ most of the way back (private route, of course) plus there was a fair bit of idling to heat up/de mist the truck as we slept in it.

We'll see how it goes on the regular diesel, although there is 1L of veg oil... when it stopped I nipped into the corner shop for a bottle of veg to get me to the petrol station lol Still fit 79.3l of diesel in.

The only time I have ever run out before is when I lent a car to someone and he gave it back to me empty... tight %^£$!

looks like there is quite a bit to go at the bottom of the guage then as i am getting around the 24 - 25 mark and 230 is about bottom of shaded area. thats assuming 4 runner is same tank capacity.

suppose with veg oil your never far from a fuel station!!

                        Quality

I think the version 3 surf is 10 ltrs but was always told on sports cars anyway that you should not let the car get that low as over the years the amount of $$$$ that gets in the bottom of the fuel tank causes it to block pipes, i had this happen on my black car and it sounded like a damn tank
So i filled it up shoved in some redex and gave it a blast for 5 or 10 mins and cleaned the tank noise right out.

Not sure the score with diesel and if there is loads of $$$$ in fuel tank from over the years.

Just noticed my surf got a screw in my rear tyre and it's slowly going down it's not my week

Rogue know their stuff thats for sure i use them for my mr2 parts as a rule I was leaning towards the motec m3 ecu as i want to upgrade all the sensors like i did with my rev 1 and fitted it with a new ct20b wrc turbo.
If you seen my place i got bits ready for the rebuild every where and still unsure if i should go onto the 2.2 stroker kit or not

Yup I have just done the big rebuild on the supra..
Rogue are masters with the Link G3, all round probably a better option then the Motec, (price....) ask Lyndon about him, tell him Charlie sent you

I currently run a Mines ECU and an Apexi SAFC and AVC-R.. thinking of upgrading to the Link ECU Having boost issues so not had it dyno'd yet, just Live road mapped, need to sort my turbo dump pipes... although I'm getting bored, might just stick a V8 in
