Plumb Bob has Coopper STT - they are probably the next tyre I get, although the KL71's look sweet too.
i did 32000 km on my old 31.10.5.15 kl71's and when swapping them for a bigger size, they still had about the same sor of mileage in them again

the maxxis tyres are available from http://www.innovation4x4.co.uk/ or www.silverline4x4.co.uk or http://www.4x4-r-us.com/ (you might have to wait 6 months from there though ) the last also do fedima tyres though, some of which look very nice

The alloys are sweet but since i already have 16" on the surf i may as well sell em, as i'm gathering a $$$$$$ stock pile of alloys, i got 2x 17" and a 16" from my mr2's as i went with blitz alloys on both

I'm running 31-10.5-15 General Grabber A/Ts 30,000km done and they have another 30k left easy the best bit £56 each

Thats the thing i was worried about with Machos, I dont really do that much mileage, but the price is seriously tempting.

Ive basically narrowed my choices down to the Machos, or the super swamper LTB's But i could do with calling L.A.Supertrux first to check about discounts etc.

I think either tyre im going to have problems with. Either the Machos are there fairly short road life and the Swampers are a bias tyre which apparently are awful for flat spots during the cold an again tend to wear down quickly.

Anyone know any sites so i can price the KL71's up in the 305/70/16 ?

Cheers for the tips so far!

I dont mind if you go for Mudzillas mate

Dunno if they come in 16" though...

Being 13.5" wide, I wouldn't want to put them on a rim less than 10" wide either.

there's some nice tyres on both http://www.devon4x4.com/shop.php?mod...elang=en&cat=5 i like the BFG Krawlers, but they only got them listed at 35 x 13.50 R15 or 37 x 12.50 R17 but they're a little on the pricey side. also http://www.kingoffroad.co.uk/ortyres.html have some of the fedima's listed

Cool!! I just didnt wanna barge in on your 'exclusivenesses' on them! They look just awesome!!! That extra Inch does make a hell of a difference!

the extra outlay for some 10" rims could be a bit akward!

My current Rims are 8", So in therory (at least!! ) that would be the same as a 12.50 on a 7" Right? Is that bad? Or kinda in the middle? ( E.G likly to pop a bead or something? )

u need 10's mate you would be hard pressed to find a tyre fitter willing to put a 12.5 on a 7" inch rim

Yeah, but he said he wasn't happy with the situation. They do look very tall / narrow because the walls are being pulled in so much.
