Bumpstops

There's odd!

Just been out to take a look at the bumpstops on the front with a view to cutting them down in order to give me a bit more travel on the front.

The top ones (for top-out) are actually against the wishbones when the truck is just sitting normally.

I think this might be why the truck goes up so far on the torsion bars then goes no further, and might explain the bouncy front end!

I'll take em all off and shorten them a bit and see what happens...

mine was the same with the bouncy front end too. It does hurt a bit too lower the front end down a bit but you dont really notice the 15mm or so to get it right again

Yeah, you need to cut them in half. I did mention it when we did your CV gaiters, but you probably wasn't listening.....



Just cut them in situ with a hacksaw blade, saves any hassle.

tony advised me to have these and i haven't adjusted my front torsion bars at all.and it has left me with real good travel.

would definitely reccomend them mate,as a good mod that requires no after attention

Broke a blade trying, then it got dark, and my hand hurt, so I gave up until tomorrow

You need someone lardy to lean on the bonnet and take the pressure off them, its probably trapping the blade as you cut through.
