Why not get one of the retractable boot covers? They're normally on ebay for between £50 to £70. It would work out cheaper than professional tints.

I've been quoted £160 for the 2 back doors & 3 back windows from a firm in Washington. I think that is a good price .
Looking to get it booked in before Christmas but after a couple of other things are sorted first.

I would say it depends how fussy you are about the finish on your surf. If you want the tinting perfect (no bubbles or little gaps) then pay someone £200 if you just want to stop people looking in do it youself for £30 for 2 packs off ebay. For me, my surf is an off roader and a workhorse, I like it to look neat but not having the little bubbles wasn't worth £170. It was quite fiddly and the last window is definiately better than the first but it's not that hard.

That's sounds like an expensive job to me... and no, I can't use a boot cover as I need to transport mountain bikes in it which will probably take all available space to the roof. Well, depending on the price on this one, maybe it's worth for me waiting for another truck that has the windows done already because it's really important to me.
THank you all for sharing your views on this... I've learnt so much on this forum that I feel I'm gonna end up with the perfect machine soon!!

if they are gonna be stacked to the roof then you will see them through the front screen anyway

Get the wife to do the tinting, Save's on cost and if she makes a mess you've got somebody to blame

...... Did I mention i'm sleeping in the caravan tonight

If you get the windows tinted or not and are carting bikes in the back as I do its worth cutting some mdf boards out that will cover the glass on the two back inside boot windows I leave my boards in the boot and then have fixed velcro to hold them in place when full loaded. Does 2 things protects your window and tint and stops people from seeing in through the sides.
