  • Your best Insurance Cost

Yes has been asked a million times but really........
this year my renewal cost has gone up so been filling in the online boxes for quotes........

    offered:
    £267 fully comp for a 4 Runner 3.0TD 1994 or
£488 fully comp for an import surf 3.0TD 1994

    Basically same car. $$$$$$ people.

Whats your best quote for your 2nd gen import 3.0TD with similar details:
    7 years NCB
aged 34 with no points or convictions
    unmodified import surf

£250 seems fair to me for a 13 year old car picked up for about the cost of someones weekly shop. Anyone suggest a company?
Smack it with a 16lb Hammer and it will come off!

thanks so thats two votes for the flux.

I used to be with adrian flux for my modified V8 hilux but as with all insurance companies they just went up and up each year for your loyalty or something?

Will give them a try on the surf.

Unless anyone has a better company??

Mine is £368 Fully Comp with Lifesure. I'm 37, licence 20yrs, clean licence, no accidents and 20yrs no claims (although they only list 9yrs) live in Oxfordshire. I think that's pretty dear. It was £333 when I first got it. Also when I asked if my premium would drop if I changed the insured value (I insured it for £7,500 when I got it) to £6,000, they said not much, £8. When I got my insurance through they put the insured value down to £4,000 and kept the premium the same.

So had to call them up and get the value back to £6,000. I've spent £3,000 in parts in two years and told them I would have to spend £6,000 to get a replacement vehicle in the same condition with all the new parts.

Adrian Flux also specialise in Military Vehicles and the M35A2 truck (my Avatar picture) costs £90 fully comp a year to insure with them!!!

              Thanks Guys all done.

Went with Adrian Flux at £300 ...a Fully Comp policy by Trinity allowing the third party cover of other vehicles driven.

I'm happy with that for the year all done. Although now I'm back with the Flux I feel a military vehicle is a handy tool to have around and cheap to insure? That's a lot of metal
