I successfully sealed a head crack on a Pug 205 with radweld

Which is exactly the problem. It *does* plug holes and leaks. Various other parts of the cooling system to a degree too.

cheers all,have succesfully sealed the tank with a chemical fixative,which is good up to 300 degrees c,and even these beasts dont get that hot,
it is made by plastic padding and is called chemical metal,have used it before,but not on a radiator,but am assured it will seal the leak.the only bu55er is that the milners "new and improved" rad ,is more substantial than he original,which went 3 mths ago. it is just the workmanship which has let it down

why wait till now for the bl00dy rad to start leaking,its only 3 s0dding months old,never.ever ever buy a rad from milners

At only three months old i'd be definitely thinking about a refund. Although if you have attempted to repair it they may be reluctant to so.

My Milner rad sprung a leak after 6 months. I have just got them to courier out a new replacement under the warranty, came next-day.
I haven't fitted it yet though (other jobs to finish first) this one has screw on brass pipe fittings at the bottom for the AT pipes and does look a little more substantial than the one I returned.

I'm beginning to wonder though whether it's worth fitting it.

well i am going to try and source a new one tomorrow,but i need it for thursday pm latest,as we are going away,not having anything to do with milners again,even their filters are cr&p !!!

If you need a hand tomorrow give me a shout, will be working on my motor all day, and I have soldering kit available.

Also if you need to get it repaired you could try Brighton radiators, they have a place in newhaven.

I also had to send my new rad back to Milners and in the 3nd paid a guy in Slough about £35 to fix old one and as far as i know its still going on Mitzys car, i believe.
