ps; i love what you say scum stands for.
Hi Colin I am glad you spoke to the inspector obnoxious idiots only make the job harder maybe he will have a word. But more importantly if they have been giving the wrong attitude to the public maybe just maybe your talking to him has been one of many folks about the same officers.

Good thread this shows you can't tarr everyone with the same brush and we as a community/ forum are all a magic bunch.

dont judge all police by just the few that are bad ones at what they do
some are realy good at the job (to serve and protect) and most do it with good maners but there is the few that dont get in to there heads what there here to do they have bad atitudes (badge gose to there head i think)
i have good feelings towards to police round here they do a good job but its them few with the atitude
i was stoped once he stoped me like he was in the sweeny skiding round me
light flashing i jump out the car (thinking something was wrong) the police man said i know you your banned from driveing and this car is nicked i then sertched me for drugs
i did not know what to say or think i told they guy me name and all that
but he would not listen to me put me in the back of his car and cheched me out
it came back that i was fully legal and i was who i said i was
he still thought i was dodgy asked me were i got the car from were i worked then looked round the car again he stud there with a big grin on his face and said this must be your lucky day go on get on your way but i will get you
i have no idea what he thought but i was not who he thinks i ham
if it was not for that badge i would have whacked him round the head
the cheek of it calling me things like that telling me that he will get me
      iam from good stock me
its the ones like him that do police no favores
if he stops mr again with the same atitude then iam going to drive off to the police staition

i didn't mean to sound anti police yesterday i was just a little shocked at my treatment.while on the phone to the policetoday i give the police all my backing.i put my hands up for my misdemeanour,it was just the wrong font on the plate but i felt i was treat like a granny basher.anyway for one angry cop there must be 100 gooduns, so please lets not knock the police

Hear Hear!! Life would be boring if we were all the same.. I must say i've been lucky enough to only be asked to produce documents when I've been stopped (speeding in a 30 zone in my old Austin 1300 - I wanted a ticket for proof!!!). That reminds me though - must get a square plate for the front of my car, it's currently obscured by the spot lights...
          Binky rides again........

You didn't sound anti police to me Colin, just telling a story of what happened to you like most folks do on here everyday. You gave a well balanced and reasoned account of what happened, unfortunately some people read between the lines and start criticizing folk for what they 'didn't' say.
