The auto aerial bit varies from stereo to stereo, and also what settings you have enabled. My old Sony unit would lower the aerial when I switched to MD/external MP3 - unless I had traffic announcements turned on (look for a TA button/option) in which case it needs the radio and so kept the aerial up. My current Kenwood however doesn't seem to do this, and in fact I can't fully figure out what logic it uses to raise/lower the aerial - it just does it when it decides it wants to.

A manual over-ride would be nice, even if you just use it to cut the power to the aerial motor when it's already down it would help when playing in trees/bushes etc.

on an ISO loom the blue wire is the switch for amps etc (powerd on all the time stereo is on)

orange is electric aerial... put a switch in that, it will work.

if you only have a blue, you'll have to switch it further down the line after the amp connection and before the aerial.
nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!
