They cant be as bad as the AT's i had on the truck when i went to Steins last year to have the lift kits fitted.I hit a lake in the road and was lucky not to of turned the truck over by being thrown across the road and nearly up the hedge.I was doing 40-45mph in a 60mph limit cause of the weather conditions and it put the $$$$es up me.I was lucky in a way as a traffic cop saw what happened and pulled me over a little way up the road to make sure i was ok.

As I never off road, properly, I drive on grass occasionally and gues this don't count, I take it I need all terrains?

all terrains or even a road biased tyre aslong as the grass aint too wet. I have checked my tyres and found they are marked mud and snow. Could this explain the moody handling in the wet?

Mud tyres can be worse in the wet than A/t's

Yup- cut mph down by about 10-15mph in the wet if wearing Muds. Take it from me they don't hold as well as my Yokahama AT's......
