Possibly, im just kidding though, my mrs drives the surf when she wants, just she doesnt like it, she hates the automatic cos she lets her foot off the gas and then thumps the floor with her left foot and then puts it in 2. Maybe if your other halfs car is a manual and yours auto could be a reason? I can now successfully kangaroo my wifes c3 all the way to tesco cos its got a clutch fing in it
Both manuals......he is just the worst passenger and I think his imagination gets the better of him and he gets carried away with what could happen.

From what ive seen tonight yes, believe it or not the ones driving L**d Ro***s are the worst, they think there inability to choose a good vehicle means you have to move, could see both trucks growling at eachother as we went by. Mine went to bite it but he got told
funny mood coming on, so im off to my bed, where, i get to touch NO-ONE

Yep, the moral of the story is, other members of the surf forum are here to help each other out.
I recently put on a full bull bar to my surf and as a consequence I have a perfect condition A-Bar (tubular stainless construction with spot mounts ) sitting in me shed which is yours for the cost of getting it up to you in Northampton from Brighton if you want it.
Just drop me a line if you want any pics or whatever,
all the best
Doug.

My lovely missus, bless her heart, has been having a drive in my surf the last few weeks as she wants to get back into driving and go for a test sometime. She loves the Surf, of course, says it's fantastic to drive.
Driving, yeah. Was just the stopping she had trouble with.
We were out in the Surf today and went over to Lidl (corn oil 49p a litre!!) and she's looking for a parking space with plenty of room around it. Drove around the side of the building and slowly pulled into a space.
Moving forward nice and easy.....straightening up the wheels...wall is getting closer....still moving forward very slowly....I'm thinking "she should brake about now"....she steps on...........the ACCELERATOR!!!!!!!!!!
CRUNCH, tinkle tinkle.
One of my spotlights is now deceased. And my A bar is dented.
Ladies, fear not! I would honestly tell anyone that I think female drivers are as good as, if not better than, male drivers
To be fair to her, she drives very well for a learner and that was her first slip-up. I was cool about it though, I didn't moan or have a go at her, I told her not to worry and just learn from her mistake. She was fine driving after that, I'm just a bit upset about my spotlight
The moral is, a Surf is probably not the best car for a learner to drive - it's so easy but it's big and heavy too...

Cheers mate, it's OK though. I'm just gonna get a new pair of spots.
Now, if anyone has any of those going pleasae let me know!

Hubby bought me a Golf with no power steering for me 30th birthday, as my first car to pass my test in - trust me the Surf is far easier to drive than that. Tought me alot though.
the only time my mrs has driven my surf in 3.5 years and that is 3 times when we went to the pub and i decided to have a drink.........at least if she trashed the truck i wouldn't of felt the pain so much till the following day
