My missus drove my Surf...

My lovely missus, bless her heart, has been having a drive in my surf the last few weeks as she wants to get back into driving and go for a test sometime. She loves the Surf, of course, says it's fantastic to drive.
Driving, yeah. Was just the stopping she had trouble with.
We were out in the Surf today and went over to Lidl (corn oil 49p a litre!!) and she's looking for a parking space with plenty of room around it. Drove around the side of the building and slowly pulled into a space.
Moving forward nice and easy.....straightening up the wheels...wall is getting closer....still moving forward very slowly....I'm thinking "she should brake about now"....she steps on...........the ACCELERATOR!!!!!!!!!!
CRUNCH, tinkle tinkle.

One of my spotlights is now deceased. And my A bar is dented.

There's a moral here somewhere..............

Moral of the story - A bars are for protection of the vehicle, and they work!

Bounced mine off a few mud banks in the past - damn site cheaper than replacing bits of the truck!!
