Hi all - has anyone got a recommendation for a company that can do a respray on a Surf, and an idea of how much it would be?

When I get a new one, and it's not black or dark blue, I'd like to look into getting it sprayed black.....

So this is gonna be a 'shiny' then?

If not, why bother? It's gonna end up scratched to f*ck! If not, then you wont enjoy your offroading. You know it makes sense.

Buy a good un, and forget about the colour!

I only say this because I got 'slightly wedged' between two trees on my private offroad site last night.

If you had a shiny respray, you'd have avoided that and not had as much fun.

Hope you haven't done any damage mate.....

I'm waiting on Angus Glover to get back to me on his, and see what he wants for it - if it's what I want, and the money's right, I'll see if I can get it - and bring it to Wales.....

But you are right - it's gonna end up as much of a mess as the current one, so best I don't get too precious over it!

and the rest, i reckon if you want them to do all the prep work aswell you'll be looking up to around £2000. If you do all the prep work you'll still be over £750 i reckon

Can't be that expensive, it's about 20 cans of Holts black gloss and about 4 sheets of wet-or-dry paper. Oh and some masking tape and a couple of Sun newspapers.

100 quid all in I reckon!

I know its almost a no-go BUT! Why dont you look at some of the $50 resprays on yotatech?!

Get some of the bed liner protecting spray and do the bumpers, bottoms of the doors etc an then just a cheap paintjob.... If it goes REALLY t!ts up then you could get a pro respray?!

Sometimes i really am just too cheap minded!
