Er......corn and sunflowers are both vegetables.

Use whatever's cheapest; I buy corn oil from Lidl at 49p/litre.

Tesco sell oil in 15 litre drums (sunflower, corn or "vegetable") but I wouldn't buy the one that just says "vegetable oil" because it contains 1% E900 (polydimethylsiloxane - an anti-foaming agent) which has some rather interesting temperature-dependant properties; I'm not sure whether it has any effect on the engine but why take the chance?

      superb cheers
im thinking of giving some tesco corn oil a go, its 49p per litre and as im going to be filling the tank up this weekend for a trip with a mate to toms farm on sunday , so i think ill stick a few litres of corn oil in before filling up to see how it goes,
      so i need:
      a funnel
      some corn oil
      fill up with diesel

wahoo gotta give it a go

Well, I've gone through a fairly large quantity of the KTC branded Vegetable Oil from Tescos, with no problems so far. It was the cheapest oil my Tescos had.

49P??? it's a **** site dearer round here, even netto (cheapo shop) was 71p and ya only allowed 6lt per customer, paid £1.98 for 3lt bottles at asda, a hike of 36p in less than a week gonna have to get a mackro (or whatever their called) card,
as i understand it the list in order of best to use is
          1. rapeseed
          2. sunflower
          3. corn,
          4. other,
avoid phillipe berrieo extra virgin and beef dripping

Tescos in Warndon Villages (Worcs) price was 56p/l last week. Is the Tescos in Kiddy that much cheaper?

Never seen the 49p a litre corn oil in my local Lidl yet! Normal veggie is 56p a litre and you can buy as much as you like!
