  • spot lights on roof bars

    does anyone know if you can have your spot lights on roof bars wired into high beam or if you have to have a seperate switch to work them?

    Yes and yes.

    They should be connected to the high beams via a seperate switch and a relay anyway.

      Legally, I think they have to be on a separate switch, but I don't see why you couldn't wire them to the main beam, and then throug a switch, so when the switch is on, they come on with the main beam, and you can switch them off for mot purposes.

                        according to here the paddy hopkirk bars are only 40 quid http://www.roof-rack-supplies.co.uk/ which aint too bad for a set of roof bars.
