Well after 10 long months of being off work i am finally starting back next week.I have had the all clear that the hip has healed ok but need to go back in 3 months to see if i am still getting the aches and mild pains still but i can live with them now.
I am being put on a rehabilitation program as i have been off for so long and will do 2 days a week and gradually build up to full time again.
I may have to have another op yet to remove the screws in my hip as they are causing some discomfort but that will only be a day case job..
The only thing is i may not be able to go back to what i was doing originally and that was track maintenance.Only time will tell now so if i cant continue doing that then Networkrail will have to find me something else with less pay or lay me off.But i'm getting back to as normal as i can but keeping a look on the bright side of things still at the moment
