Blackpool Illuminations Run!

OK, there has been some interest raised in doing the (now) annual run through Blackpool Illuminations.

The lights are on until the 4th of November. As I am away that weekend, I suggest the weekend before to give everyone as much time as possible to be available.

Sooo, here is the initial plans:
Saturday 27th October or Sunday 28th - which ever suits more members
Meet up at the McDonalds on Squires Gate Lane around 7pm.
Head up through the lights when everyone is ready.
For those that want a double dose, we turn around and do them the other way round.

P.S. Friends and family are more than welcome irrespective of what they drive (even Green oval owners, although they will have to follow at least 100yards behind )

I'd like to do both, but have (possibly) a date the weekend of the 3rd/4th too - so can't make it......

Hmm, OK, if it was on Sunday night would you be up for doing the lights after the big trip? No idea when you're finishing the Welsh run, so don't know how feasible that would be.

I could probably be back in time for a run on Sunday 4th November if that fitted in with the majority - not that that helps you much.

Yeah, it would be a good 6 hour trip to Blackpool from the Neath M4 area.

Besides, I used to go to Blackpool for meetings in a previous life - cant imagine why you'd go their voluntarily

Heh heh, count yourself lucky. At the end of the day you used to drive away from Blackpool. As I now work in Preston, the end of my day involves driving towards the $$$$$$ place.
