  • VPN, Any ideas??

my woreless printer has stopped working... it keeps saying -

"the print spooler was unable to coinnect to your printer. This can be caused by your printer being turned off, the cable being unplugged, or being connected to a VPN, which will block access to your local network"

it's turned on, plugged in, and works for everythinmg except printing!!...

what's a VPN and how do i remove it??

it will be a twain driver errer windows xp in not very good at telling you whats wrong
dont know how well you know windows?
but to read a path the / means folder
          so go to start
          /my compurter/local disk c:/windows/system32/doctor wattson
doctor wattson is a hidden file in windows that tells you what wrong with your commy
follow that path to the folder called system 32
doctor wattson looks like a pail blue doctor in uniform double click him let it run
then see what he has to say (let me now the code if any)
then i will tell you whats best to do (may be uninstall you printer and reinstall it) but it may be fixable yet so let me know

do you haveyour printer installed as your default printer?

have been known to "switch" itself to another printer or fax, when you go to print

yeah, tried all that... i reckon it's something to do with BT... they sent a load of software with home hub and it's never been the same since.

                      is it an epson?
                      if so go here http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
                      and run the program
it resets epsons to their new status
                      hopes this helps
at the end of the day................ it gets dark
