If you have something sharp to puncture the bottom of the bottle when you up end it, you don't have quite so much glugging making it pour faster.

I found a flexi nozzle from a plastic fuel can fitted on to the 3ltr bottles I was getting from Morrissons. I also have a funnel that I hold up with a bungee.

I tried decanting the bottles into a 20ltr gerry can, but it was just as slow as pooring it straight into the tank and then you were double handling it. It was ok to store it in the garage though, but I found it wasn't much cop for carrying extra for a long trip, as with the plastic bottles you don't have to bring them home once empty.

We are all getting fcuked, completely. Ive been working in Germany for 7 months and came home to 1.17 diesel prices! AND before i left i could get 3 litres of veg oil for around £1.50! its now over £3.00 in our tescos.
Im selling her vitara as we dont need it but nobody wants it so looks like my surf will be up for sale soon

89p a litre? Still not cheap enough for me Trev. By the time I get to my local Saisburys, buy 20 one litre bottles, pour them in and then mix with diesel it's just not worth the hassle and I'd only save a couple of quid at most.

Needs to be at least 40p a litre cheaper than diesel and I think those days are long gone.

The 2 litre is 1.63, and diesel down here is at @ £1.20

My concern is can we run it ?

              Will it work ?

Trev, I'm almost positive that the question was raised a while ago about running on corn oil and the reply was that it was okay as it is still a vegetable based oil.

I'll try and hunt it down (although you're much better than me at that sort of thing!)

Cancel the corn oil, it's suddenly gone way over veg oil for price, heading for £1.40 per litre

Welcome to the rip off zone

Not looking all that good a Booker either when i first got my Surf i could buy veg for £8.00 for 20 liters now its nearly £18.00 was even thinking of runnng the surf on parrafin and veg mix so i can recoup the losses over the two fuels.

                          What about heating oil?

                          Chris.

Up until lunchtime I would have said Sainsbury's at just over 80p per litre, however the price has just gone through the roof

that ebay stuff looks like soya oil, got 120 litres in me garage its very much thicker and cloudier than the ktc veg oil, ive just mixed some in a barrel to see if it stays thinned out if left over night. and it stinks more like butter than veg oil lol
