              so what's the latest guys?

tescos refused to sell me more than 10 single litres of there oil at £0.56p because he said it would compromise other customer's needs, I told him that it was their stock control methods that did that.

So, can I order say, 110 litres at customer services, and ask for same every two weeks??

I've never had any problems buying up to 100 litres at a time at my local Tescos.

you're lucky, I tried to order the 56p/l stuff in Dundee and whilst they can see it on their stock system apparently it's not available through the serving depot (Livingstone) so they can't supply it in Dundee

so I'm one of the mugs still paying £2.21 for 3 litres

Just started using veg oil, 90% for cost 10% for environment. I'm on the 56p per litre PURA 1ltr SVO from Tescos, the local in Sandhurst was happy to order me 50ltr to start me off if that works out I might get 200 ltr next time to save the hassle. They said that technically your not suuposed to buy more that 5 of any item in tescos but they have sold me 10ltr twice now. 1ltr bottle is a pain but if I can recycle them cant see it will stop me.

Yeah, you may live somewhere near the real world, but this is planet thanet, where they only get off their arses to collect their benifit, or go to the drug dealer.

The managers of the supermarkets were obviously at the benifit office the day they covered stock control at the McDonnalds school of shopkeeping, cos they got no f**king idea how to control stock.

Anyway, I went to customer services and asked to order 110 litres of said veg oil, and the young girl on the desk, although somewhat surprised by my request, filled out the form, and ordered the oil.

I collect next week, and will renew the order for the week after, and so-on ad infernitem, until that is, the petty minded beaurocrats can find some reason to stop me by moving the goal posts.

I wouldn't call you a mug, if you buy the 1 litre bottles it takes FAR longer to fill the old girl up.

I would advise getting a standing order, it makes life far easier when collecting - my local sainsbury's have a trolley waiting for me every week

I thought about getting one of those oil filler jugs and decant the 1 litre bottles into it and then pour it in the tank, but don't know if this would save any time, I guess with a pair of jugs and a helper it may be faster.

Tesco's won't do a standing order, you have to order it every time, which I guess saves them having to chase the money if you don't turn up for the goods ( this is thanet, where the locals have grown up stealing from each other, freinds and relatives included)

I may take longer, but it's FAR cheaper. 56p/ltr for the 1ltr bottles against 73p/ltr odd for the 3ltr bottles.
