well its
now 17.52pm thought i would leave about 15 mins ago,till the brand spanking new batteries decided they wanted to be like a witches t1t
ie flat

rac will be here in 90 minutes(i hope)

it has only happened since i had the starter relay earth wired straight to an earth terminal.i did take it of but it is now back on again as the original earth(the air con earth)is no more.may have to hardwire a switch onto said cables to break the circuit

and with its of wire hanging out everywhere

they passed the job on to a contractor,(rye recovery,suggested slogan:not quite the worst ,but getting there)who were going to send someone to jumpstart me. i declined ,explaining that i wanted to have an rac bod look at it and try to diagnose if this extra earth wire is making a circuit and draining my batts,but......yhey are gonna be 1.5 hrs

yes mate i have changed the relay but!!!

it wouldnt start.there was no earth(it was connected to the aircon bundle)
so am back on the original.i am thinking that it is the hardwired earth making a circuit and draining back through the ignition system.i am going to get the rac bloke to verify this,and if this is the case(cos i have brand new batteries),i will extend the cabling into the cab and fit a switch.on the bright side it nay make a good immobiliser!!

am pretty sure its not the alternator cos when it has been running for 5 mins its able to start under its own steam.
