Have you not ruined Gemmas play area and the bank for her to roll the ball down.
No wonder she is just sitting there watching the rest of you work.
Looks good, all you need now are a couple of monkey bikes and people could race round the arena while you fix the cars!!!

Another update....
Despite going to Cornwall Friday/Saturday for collect a dog (but thats another story!!) We got the woodchips all in the arena, we're now leveling it out a few days, raking, harrowing, rolling, etc to bed it all in....
Starting digging out a shallower ramp to the arena level, where the gate is going to be, so the horses don't have to jump!!

Originally posted by TonyNBeen a busy weekend, rain stopped work at first, found last weeked levelling of the field still wasn't level enough, so had a bit of work to do......
...rain/wet fields permitting (driver could bale if he thinks he'll get stuck), first of the trucks delivering the surface should turn up today.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

Just another update, its been virtually done for a while, heres some of the last pics, new fences and lots of raking having been done...
Although it needs a little more leveling and bedding in, Linda's been working the horse on it, and she loves it!!
Completely stoked with how its turned out, considering we did it all ourselves.
-5 temps and the surface is still soft and usable, which is more than can be said for a few of our friends so called 'better', more expensive surfaced arenas at their yards.

Just uploaded a couple of vids from this evening, of the horse, Linda and the dogs enjoying it.
Lunging the horse...
This one has the dogs being silly as a bonus....

In case anyone knows about this stuff and is curious why the horse is so fat and slow, a quick background.
Kelsie (the horse!) has done bugger all work for 2 years, so is a little overweight (OK, a lot overweight), and not very forward as she is out of shape, and probably is just putting up with this to get her dinner!!
Linda is also trying out a Pessoa training aid that I got her for Xmas last year, this is K's first time in it and we're still playing with it and setting it up.
