  • Some pics of Lindas horse arena....

Been a busy weekend, rain stopped work at first, found last weeked levelling of the field still wasn't level enough, so had a bit of work to do......

...rain/wet fields permitting (driver could bale if he thinks he'll get stuck), first of the trucks delivering the surface should turn up today.

looks good, well graded surfacing. What did you use to measure the levelness (is that a word?) of the field?

looks like it was done by eye, cant see a set of profiles or a dumpy level
anywhere, but however it was done and whoever did it you will be in demand from the highways agency for getting it so flat!!

Could have used a rotating laser level and it's just out of shot in the pics.

haven't played with one of those in nearly a year, have become an office boy now. Got an ancient theodolite here, which gets used as a doorstop.

Was talking to a mate at work on friday about levels, he worked on a ridiculously OTT spec job recently. They bought all the latest laser levels for the site, then 3 weeks later went round and checked everything with Water Levels..
