Ok, I feel really mean now. My sprog went without tonight because:

                  A) I don't like pancakes and
                  B) I don't know how to cook either.

I guess I'd better go and find a packet mix tomorrow then.

By the time next months shop comes round (ie. when there is nothing left in the fridge/freezer/cupboards and we've eaten at the pub 3 days running and we HAVE to go or starve) I'll have forgotten anyway!! There's always next year...

Got some ready made crepes with Strawberry filling from Tescos yesterday - absolutely perfect and take 10 seconds in the Nuke. Why bother with all this batter stuff and getting the kitchen in a right state.

                      Cheers

Just need a griddle pan for the best results - Or a nice clean piece of thick Stainless will do it with a pair of Mole grips as a handle. Get it nice and hot, smear oil on it and drop the batter on.

See I can cook really - I just like the easy ways sometime.

                          Cheers

I made mine from a packet.... I can't cook either.... my friend says the only reason I go into the kitchen is so I can get out the door to the utility room for the washing maching... i can work that !

After reading all these I feel hungry again... piggie....
Had enough... going to live in Spain....

I know it was yesterday now, but next time, use butter in the pan, not oil or lard, it's a little softer on the palette.

Home made are much better than packet mixes!

I used this recipe (http://www.greatbritishkitchen.co.uk...ovetuesday.htm), made 6, only got 2, but they were very yummy.
