  • Timing Belt - Injection Pump Sprocket

Trying to align the timing marks to fit the new timing belt but I can't seem to line the injection pump sprocket up properly.

I've searched the whole site on this, nobody seems to have had the same issue.

When I put the line the marks up, it just wants to spring backwards, or forwards, depending on how close to the mark it is...

Any thoughts? Please? Really like to get the t-belt on today...

    Thanks.

thanks surfenstein, i read all of the posts about it on here but it didn't make much sense until i had the whole thing in front of me. feeling pretty pleased with myself so far, never done much stuff like this and so far so good.

not really looking forward to trying to sort out the tension on the drivebelts. any thoughts or tips?

read it. i can now turn the engine over by hand and have all the timing marks line up beautifully.

anyone got anything on the drive belts?

What is the 90% test? I've had a look around, seems some people suggest that if you can't turn the belts more than 90 degrees you're doing OK...
