Tesco Veg Oil Prices :(

well I would advise that you all go to lidl for their 1 litre bottles of corn oil at 49p a litre. but if I did that then there would be absolutely none left for anyone! I bought everything they had on saturday - 7 bottles for £3.x something

As I said in another thread, Lidl have stopped selling their corn oil. Both Falkirk stores sold out in an hour or so. Kebab shop owners bought the lot (took all their frozen chips too)

the 3l bottles down here are over £2 a bottle now 10l £6.99 and 15l are £10.09 disiel is £1.04l.Who would think that tesco grow they're own rapeseed to sell in they're own stores and to add to they're own fuel also.They are meant to be leading the way in green fuels like hell are they or they wouldn't be bumping the veg oil prices up so much

Is there a Makro in the Devon/Cornwall area and how easy is it to get a Makro card - do you need to be a business or can just anyone get a card?

I am only used to Makro in South Africa, where you can walk in and get a day card!

think the only one down there is in exeter. my brother goes there cos he's got a card related to my dads work, which is just a little farm up here in cheshire. yeah you do have to have a business of some sort, or know someone who does, and lets you have a card. all the info is on there site www.makro.co.uk

thats a bit of a shame.. how about getting friendly with someone in the store? may be get a heads up when they are getting deliveries and beat everyone to it?
the 1 litre bottles are easier to put in the car too & cheaper. its a 'self licking lolly pop' (i have to speak like a complete knob now because i work with hedgefund people LOL)

hay apache i was in tesco tonight and i think the the rap was about £2.46 for 3 ltr so i think they are being told to charge what you think you can get and not having a nation wide price .

also saw a sign at tescos saying that bulk bay was only ten of any one item so just get 15 ltr drums from now on .
