Fuel pump seals - URGENT!

Had been advised here that the KZN130 pump is the same as the 2.4 pump (superficially, it certainly *looks* the same). This morning, Milners tell me it's not, and they dont do a seal kit for the 3.0, which kind of bu66ers me!

The lass at Milners told me that "I need to be careful with advice from forums, and Milners have been working with Surfs for years so know what they're talking about"

Who's right? I need to order the seals ASAP so I can do them next week before I do anymore serious miles.

cant put links in(too thick),but the aus site has some info about the pump seals.on a personal notr,i would have thought they were the same as its the cylinder bore/injector pumping capacity thats different

have asked the breaker near me the difference between the two pumps,as all he breaks is surfs lc's and pickups may be a good bet he knows(he does repairs as well)

right toyota (eastbourne) and the surf repairer/breaker near me both say
that the seal kits for both the 3.0 litre and 2.4 litre are the same

toyota asked if i wanted a kit,ipolitely declined pointing out i didnt need to take out another mortgage

Milners were close to refusing to sell me a set of springs for an LC80 when I mentioned they were going on a Surf a few years ago.

"No they wont, and you cant send them back when you find out cos we told you so"

Maybe the stories about Milners are not without substance then... or maybe they just need to get the techies to answer the phones.

Try filling up with 100% derv, and a litre of atf, to see if it will regenerate your seals.

Might get you out of trouble untill the oarts turn up.
