Bisto coolant

I read a post on the Toyota Difflock forum about ATF and coolant getting
mixed due to the Rad failing http://forum.difflock.com/viewtopic.php?t=14487, so thought I would check my one and fond the expansion bottle 3rd full with runny gravey colour coolant. I'm only used to seeing blue or green anti-freeze!! is this brown stuff Toyota spec? or Jap maybe? the Surf was imported in 2003.

Toyota coolant is red so maybe it's just OLD toyota stuff, Hopefully

I actually took my expansion bottle out and cleaned it out, as the bottom small drop in the bottle was caked solid with rusty desposits, so my coolant was mixing with it. Took some cleaning but now its fine, try that.

might be worth getting some radiator flushing stuff to clean the whole system....
