I'd like to visit KRAKOW, Birkenau,Auschwitz, Belsen etc just to see how bad things were for the People & to pay my Respects.

When you arrive in Auschwitz, you see a film of the holocaust and just general footage of the killings, then you walk around the barracks where they kept them, theres hundreds of photos on the walls of the dead, At one point you see the tiny 1ft square chambers they kept people in,.... no light! no air.

then we were told of a preacher who gave up his life to save another inmate... all quite moving. Then you see the only gas chamber at the camp. you walk though it in silence... no pictures.

then you get taken to Birkenau.... very strange place to visit. The old wooden huts, The toilet blocks, An you see the sites where the chambers used to be...

if you go, Watch Schindlers list before hand so you can picture in your mind what it may have been like..

No birds sing near the camps, Nothing just silence.

Visited the big old famous gate into Berlin (think its the branenburg (can't spell) or summat) the other week - that was awesome - really opened ya eyes to how bad it must have been. Some of the things peeps did to try to escape, an we think we have it bad.
