Maybe start a new section ' name and shame ' purely for those people who say yes and then dont show.
Only joking, but seriously it is not fair when something is paid for or booked and then people dont show. It only means that those that do turn up have to fork out more to cater for those that dont.

I think in future that a deposit should be taken, non refundable if cancelled less than 7 days notice of planned event or something similar along those lines.
Just my take on things, just dont think that those who do turn up should be penalised for those that dont.
