Right if the steering idler was bent could that cause the n/s wheel to point inwards

i don't know if this will make a difference on a diagnosis but when i turn the steering the n/s suspension is moving and lifting and lowering the n/s front of the truck a bit

yea but the o/s is bent and twisted though isnt it.? its the castor angle that makes the body lift and lower as you go to opposite locks.

right.I'm sure that only the front of the frame/chasis where the wishbone bolts to is pushed back onto the wishbone as there seems to be the same gap between the w/bone and the mount on rear of the of the wishbone where the bushes are if you get what i mean

Richard - while we are looking at sorting your truck out - have you got a trolley jack???

I need to replace my gearbox mount - as mine is snapped - and it would have been done today, but my neighbour signed for the delivery on Tuesday and forgot to tell me, so I have it in my house now...

I'll need the trolley jack to prop the box up while I change the mount - can you help????
