£1000 for tax????? -and the rest!!!!!

At best you will probably end up paying about 10% of the vehicles bought value, at worst, -it you buy one new to bring over you can add 17.5% vat ontop of that.

Its not just a matter for "an MOT" -you'll need to get it ESVA'd, and it its the first one over and there is no vehicle type report it gets even trickier.

Usually the rule of thumb is change teh $ sign to a £ sign :P

Self importing isnt cheap! The tax's an hidden extras add up!! Its better on an older car because they are cheaper in the first place!

But either way, Import one yourself for say £25k or wait for someone else to get one on a forecourt here an pay £50K.

I agree with both karma and diesel, Its sh!t either way you look at it.

      but live the dream man!!
