  • Side exit exhaust

    Hi all
wot with MOT time fast approaching, it's time to sort out my rotten tail pipe on mt 2.4.
I have searched the forum and found some interesting posts from Bushwacker and Leo's Dad about using transit boxes and fabricating bends to exit infront of the back wheel however, the pictures are no longer there.
So anyone got any pics they can post to help me out?

Mine exits behind the rear wheel, and was easy.

Cheers for all the replies but owing to time restraints and wot with the old girl being my only transport,I decided to buy a new rear pipe from Roughtrax as I was passing there in the van today.Good news is the build quality and fit is excellent. Bad news fitting was a bit of a be ach only havig bogo standard car type ramps to work with. Still only took about an hour. Plus while I was there I couldn't resist a set of +2" rear springs to fit at the weekend.

Made me do a double take when you mentioned ramps!

I can sit upright under the back of mine, and can easily work anywhere underneath without jacks - and I wouldn't say I'm slim!

Sounds like you might NEED the new springs!

Standard rear section is quite a long bit of pipe on a 2.4 I only just had enough heigt with the ramps to get it up and over the axle, but yes SAS begins to set in specially since I used the surf to carry a dishwasher last week.
