You'll only have to save for half as long if you use veg oil, I got from kent to Wales ( nearly 300 miles) on 30 litres of veg oil and 10 litres of derv, cost about £30, used about the same over the weekend, and filled up with the same again for the journey home.

Got some funny looks in the Tesco car park, just outside Llandovery, emptying 10 x 3 litre bottles of veg oil into the truck, but it works, and made it possible for me to do the Strata Florida.

Total milage was about 650m round trip, and the surf didn't miss a beat, but I might have to trade it for a 3ltr auto

Great pictures guys, so wish that I could have made it out for the weekend.

On the bright side though I managed to get out of 1 days family stuff and went to Avalanche. Koi sat in with me for my 1st off road drive and helped me loads, good to put face's to names and everyone was really friendly and helpfull.

Will get the truck tip top condition and will be out with you when you do it again.

Thanks mate, they're not bad considering the conditions, I'm just trying to salvage something from the web cam video, I think I got the white balance all wrong, so it's too bright, and there's no detail on the terrain, real shame.
