cb radio

hi all

just a quick question maybe a stupid one but hey

im thinking of getting a cb radio for my truck but dont know much about them

i only need it to communicate with friends who will be following in the car when i go camping but they will only have one of the little handheld walky talky types

will these talk to each other

The short answer is NO.

They work on completely different frequencies.

Get your friends to go halves with you and buy 2 CB's or get yourselves a pair of the little walkie talkies.
If you don't know of any local CB shacks checkout your nearest Maplins or truckstop

i agree with the walkie talkies but forget maplins for cb radio not worth the hassle but that just my opinion they dont always know their arm from their elbow you can buy some sets of walkie talkies in fours . they ok if you out n about or buy yourselfs a couple of cb's cheap of ebay or look at local car boot sales sometime you can get some good cb's at a decent price also. it depends on what you want n what you want it for n also what you can afford.

Just get some walkie talkies from ARGOS thats what we use offroad.
