Behind this dust cover



and attached to the end of this drive shaft on an non free wheeling hub model Hilux is a splined tapered washer and it's bolted onto the end of the shaft, you use a 12mm spanner to remove it.



I was scratching my head today trying to think of what it's purpose is?

The WASHER is to stop things moving about & keep everything in check
Wheres the CIRCLIP???
