So - I've now decided to take the whole dash off on Friday, fit my new speakers and stereo, find and remove the nuts, and put some accoustic damping stuff in to lessen the rattling - so does anyone have any ideas of how to take it all apart?

          TIA

It helps to have both doors open.
          Remove steering wheel.
          Remove all lower dash sections.
          Remove glovebox components.
          Remove front speaker pods.
Remove dash clocks and heater switches/surround.
          Remove radio.
Remove bolts holding dash centre supports to the transmission tunnel.
Now fold yourself in half and turn your head 180 degrees to look for all the 12mm nuts that hold the dash to the reinforcing tube that's fixed to the bulkhead.

You WILL have some screws left over when you put it all back together!

Cheers Vince - part of the plan is to find homes for the screws I had left over last time I did it

I fitted my CB to the back of the armrest - keeps it out of the way, but still accessible, and the handset is attached to the front of the armrest....
