HAr har love the pan pipe comment Apache, looks great I've wanted a safari style roof for ages now think it would look better if it over hung at the front a foot or so not sure if it would need supports at the front if it did though.

We'll that was a positive response I'm hopefully gettin the roof rack tmrw if i can get round to pickin it up. It'll need cut up and re-welded so i'll have it done for Christmas I've got a 5m open canoe that'll sit on it nicely and a 33" spare. The ladder will give good access and i'll cut the rungs down a bit,mind you i am a short a*s.!! Keep the bend me thinks to complement the surfs curves Get some huge lights for up top and indicators and brake lights for the rear. Thank god i've got my HGV licence.

Yes! Looked better without all the additional ironmongery!

The gauge you'd use for the rack would just buckle up and trap you if you rolled it over.

Anyway,in the pic do you think it should extend slightly further at the front,to give a bigger over hang??? Any other ideas or comments would be appreciated,apart from the cheeky ones!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Smiffy,
I think it`s a great idea. I would`nt attach to the rear bumper, that means the body is taking all the strain. Attach it/Weld it to the chassis, that way it will be strong enough to jump up and down on and will form the basis of a roll-cage. (If you ever dedicate the truck to being an off-roader.)

Just ignore this if your bumper bar is already attached to chassis.

It would do lader rungs Etc very nicely, just let me know if it will help anyone.

I'll Ignore that!!! As my bumpers on the chassis similar to the tow bar set up so hopefully be solid enough. Ladder both sides.
